Chicago Al was born and raised in Chicago and attended the prestigious Bridgeport Conservatory of Music, which spawned such greats as Peter Cetera of the group "Chicago", Marty Grebb, keyboardist for Bonnie Raitt, and The Buckinghams, solo artists James Vincent and Kal David, and Bob Lizik of the Brian Wilson Band. Al was under the tutelage of Master Guitarist Robert Grebb who arranged for jazz guitar great Howard Roberts. Al started his career preforming with several local bands, including recording artists "The Precisions", and later formed his own regional blues orchestra called "The Odds N' Ends", which toured the tri-state area. Al eventually went solo and played clubs in the Chicago area. He moved to Brevard, NC in 2002 and later formed "The Hard Luck Story". |
